Every now and then a musician puts out a song that immediately rises to the top. It disseminates all over the world rapidly and seems to speak to many souls. Of course, fame plays a role in this, but it would be inaccurate to claim that fame is the only factor. If this were the case, then every song a famous musician ever releases would rise to the top!
Yes, some songs take the world by storm, and a very recent one is Adele’s “Go Easy On Me”. I’d like to dissect this song to gain an understanding as to exactly why this particular song became popular so rapidly.
